Have you gotten a call for a survey? If so I would love to know! It's repair pal.com just looking to see how we are doing. It's exciting because they don't pick too many shops in an area to work with. This could be great for us!!! Jacob came to us about a year ago looking to put a v8 motor in his 83 s10 for his teenage daughter. Lucky girl if you ask me! He picked up a running motor and transmission from a Tahoe, and the project began. In November he dropped the truck off, where unfortunately it had to sit for a few months so we could clean out some other projects, then we jumped into it. Jacob had cut out part of the frame in the engine area to make sure the engine would fit, we modified it, cleaned her up a bit and repainted it black. Next the ac box needed some modifications to clear the last coil pack. Luckily the ls2 intake sit low enough to clear the stock hood. We had to shorten the driveline a few inches and have new u-joints installed, after all they were 32 years old :). Final assembly is currently taking place along with a new ac condenser, radiator, headers, exhaust and of course, a PRK wiring harness for an e38 computer. I will get some photos up as she gets closer to completion. While it's not a totally custom build, it is a special one. I foresee some high school boys being pretty jealous of a cute girl driving a v8 s10. As you can the see the beast is coming to life! Lupe's 1979 Cadillac deville, as we call it, the cadmino is coming along. This beast is a year in the making. Originally she was to be a nicely built 6.0 with 6l90 transmission, you know a fun car. Right... That was just the beginning, after some thinking, and he does this a lot, lupe decided the car needs to auto crossed. Well why not! After pulling the motor back out, she's now being twin turbo'd! The rear end is being redone, with new axles by Raven Industries. We have narrowed the frame in the rear axle area, pics to come, and tubbed the bed!! This bad boy is something! Did you know that under the bed is storage area!? Holy moly! The airbag compressor is going in there, possibly the gas tank! I will keep updating you as I have more!! |
