Is it really almost August in the Valley of the Sun? Holy moly! This year is flying by. Some big things have been happening around the shop. New guy starts next week- he's proficient in wiring, which is great because it will allow Gabe to grow in other ways and not always be stuck under a dash or installing a harness for an ls swap. The race car is in full swing... Yep race car, a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro, she's a doozy. Full funny car cage, 4-link, a huge 114mm Precision Turbo, the engine- well that's still a secret. A huge thanks to Christian over at JAX Motorsports, he has spent many Saturdays here at the shop helping Phil with the cage work. 1971 Chevelle- Did a full air conditioning install on this beauty of a car- she comes with a little 454ci Big Block Chevy and Muncie 4 speed, unfortunately since everything is much further away the rear end also required some work so a set of 3.42 gears went in, among some other goodies. And.. Another Chevelle- Alex's Chevelle... Wow what can I say.. Not all things on Craigslist are great finds, as we see here. The Chevelle came to us as a total redo- the engine had broken, mismatched and just plain ole bad workmanship, she was rebuilt. The install itself- I almost cried! A huge hole in the ac box- not there now thanks to a new Old Air- air conditioning kit. The install is beautiful now- representing how this car should look! Then there is Steve's Turbo LS Camaro- this bad boy should be seeing the light of day soon. He is getting a beautiful Huron Speed Turbo Kit and fresh ls1.
Jeff's 2002 Camaro- just a nice little freshen up with some ported heads, better clutch, rebuilt T56 (with some goodies). This little driver will be around town soon. Of course of the exciting ones, especially for the customer is Tso Fast 2.0- Apparently the first on3 turbo kit just wasn't enough and Tso needs more power! This baby made just over 500hp on 6lbs of boost with a 67mm, now a huge upgrade to forged pistons, a big 84mm turbo and an even better torque converter/transmission. There's more... But my hands are tired.. Check out the facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/prkautomotive |
